Welcome to the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance

Who We Are

In July 2003, a group of friends organized the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance (CCA) in Harford County to raise funds to have an impact on the quality of life of cancer patients in our own community.

Facing cancer can be one of the most significant challenges a person encounters. When a patient is diagnosed with cancer in our community we want the best possible services available for that patient. We also see that cancer affects more than the patient; it impacts the family and friends of each patient.

Chesapeake Cancer Alliance (CCA) is a volunteer, not for profit organization raising funds through individual and group fundraising projects, business and corporate sponsorships, memorials and donations from the community. CCA is affiliated with Upper Chesapeake Health (UCH), an award winning regional health care system, to support the prevention, education, treatment, research and counseling programs offered by Upper Chesapeake's Cancer LifeNet and the new Upper Chesapeake Cancer Center and Breast Institute opening in December 2013. All funds raised by CCA are donated directly to the supportive care services of Cancer LifeNet and cancer programs at Upper Chesapeake Health.

How We Do It!

CCA is enriched by over 200 volunteers who help raise funds for these programs and has raised over $480,000 since 2003. We have pledged $500,000.00 to Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation for the "We're Here For Life" campaign. CCA is living life for others.
